Premise: The challenge was to develop an interactive device for a child based on sensory experience.
Process: Research began with studying the child's ecosystem using mind mapping, artefact mapping and revisiting our own childhood experiences. Contextual interviews were conducted with parents and various tasks like story-telling, role-playing and sketching with children. Post building user scenarios, evolving design guidelines, form generation exercises and experience mapping the concept of Eazo was evolved.
Outcome: Concept and soft prototype of an interactive toy for the child which aids in removing the fear of darkness and a corresponding device for the guardian that enhances the communication channel with the child.
