Schema as a Service
Premise: Oracle has ventured into private cloud space with its hardware. In a move to make a firm footing in the private cloud based service area, the 'schema as a service' offering is being developed. As the concept is complex, an easy to understand and intuitive UX that could represent all the concepts was required for the administrator and the end users of this service.
My Role: Lead User Experience Designer
Process: Requirement gathering from various team members (project manager, development manager, developer) – Refining Use Case Document with the Product management and Development teams – Co-designing Low Fidelity Wireframes with the developers and product manager – Feedback/Reiterate – Finalize the flow – High fidelity click through wireframes – Presentation to UX team - Feedback/Reiterate – High fidelity click through mockup screens – Presentation to product manager/development teams – Feedback/Reiterate – Pre-final set of click through mockups – Customer review – Final set of click through mockups – Development/Implementation – UI Exit Review.
Outcome: A set of 250 high fidelity click through mockup screens for the administrator and the end user, represented through a story. Currently, the UI is accessible through Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control product suite.
